As an integral part of the Revenue Control team, the individual will be a primary contact person for all things related to tax. From preparing and submitting tax returns, handling tax audits, monitoring new tax regulations within the region to managing and handling all billing related queries and ADHOC reporting requests. Support the team whenever necessary and ensure all reporting deadlines (internal and external) are met.

We are looking for a q ualified accountant with at least 4-5 years’ experience at a similar level. Must be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of current accounting and tax standards within the MENA region. Must be self-motivated, have a high attention to detail, possess exceptional excel skills and have an inclusive and determined approach to getting things done within the deadline.

Highly analytical and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions and demonstrated experience managing projects from start to close , prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports per region.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
• Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and constant look out for any new guidelines / articles published by relevant authorities.
• Offer support and guidance during audits.
• Understand internal processes and recommend necessary improvements/changes to comply with laws in the region
• Manage and control billing and respective queries. Handle Volume Discount billing.
• Monitor and control discount requests. Apply relevant approved discounts on the system.
• Assist secretaries and internal business functions for any tax related queries.
• Possess sound knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and provide assistance in audit queries.
• Upload invoices on client’s e-billing portals on a monthly basis and reply to queries as necessary.
• Handle any ADHOC queries and support the team wherever necessary.
• Manage and track projects and meet the assigned deadlines.
