ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide leadership and direction to the business, support decision making and the achievement of financial and strategic objectives through accurate and insightful analysis. The position works closely with the wider Finance team to protect and create value by challenging and supporting the business as a trusted business partner.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Build commercial acumen throughout the business, applying common analytical and problem-solving techniques including trend and variance analysis, 5 Whys and PDCA cycle
  • Ensure a strong governance foundation, leveraging centres of excellence and shared services, to provide numbers the business can trust and rely on.
  • Lead initiatives to improve processes and performance across the business, including improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of demand generation spend
  • Providing pricing and discount recommendations to the sales teams after comprehensive understanding of the competition environment
  • Build financials for new product launches to support product launch decisions
  • Robust and timely analysis of financial and non-financial data, providing insightful commentaries to drive business performance and support decision making and make recommendations for improvements
  • Lead finance engagement in IBP process to ensure clear link between spend and volume expectations, building a rolling 24+ month rolling forecast for volume and value, including scenario analyses of what-if situations
  • Continually improve budgeting, planning and reporting processes and tools to drive greater efficiency
  • Support finance team in ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and support distributor-related improvements, including claims processes and perform independent control checks, including distributor debit notes
  • Ensure all costs are tracked and maintained within approved levels, including regular review of accruals vs. expected expenditures to ensure no surprises

ABOUT YOU

You would possess the following:

  • Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate qualification in Finance, preferably holding a Chartered Accountancy qualification
  • 3+ year’s minimum experience in financial analysis and planning within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills
  • Commercial acumen and strategic expertise
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and complexity
  • Track record of developing and maintaining key partnerships
