Al Tamimi Job Description at a Glance:
The 2 year Training Contract or Qualifying Work Experience consists of both on-the–job learning, including 4 six month rotations in different area of law, and off-the-job learning including legal skills, core skills training and personal development. The training will offer our trainees a consistent and positive experience as well as clear and structured programme in which trainees will have access to the same developmental opportunities. During the training we ensure that trainees apply and develop practical skills such as drafting, transaction management, research for client’s pitches, and office procedures. During this time trainees are appropriately supervised and mentored by solicitors and other individuals who have adequate legal knowledge and experience in the practice area they are supervising. Trainees will receive regular appraisal of their performance and development throughout the programme.
We expect our trainees to demonstrate an interest in the law and commit to a career in the Middle East upon qualifying. Regional focus is important to us and Arabic language skills are a plus (but not an essential requirement)
We look for candidates with a minimum qualification of a 2.1 or above at degree level (or equivalent). For LPC route, the candidates should have completed the LPC or have a confirmed place on the LPC. For the SQE route, as an entry requirement, graduate candidates who don’t hold an LLB from a common law jurisdiction should have completed SQE 1 before joining the programme.
We are looking to recruit trainees who are enthusiastic, innovative, team-players who embrace ATCO culture, and who have robust problem-solving skills, commercial awareness and strong communication skills both oral and written.

Applicants who meet the criteria will be selected to complete a Watson Glaser critical thinking test by May 2023. Candidates selected will be invited for assessments and to meet the Partner(s) by May/Jun 2023. Successful candidates will be made an offer by July 2023.
The location of The Training Contract and Qualifying Work Experience will be decided based on the requirements of the business.
