We are looking for a Food Safety Trainer who will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs to individuals and organizations in the food industry to ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. They play a crucial role in promoting safe food handling practices, maintaining a hygienic environment, and preventing foodborne illnesses.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver training programs on food hygiene and safety topics, including personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitation procedures, food storage and handling, allergen control, pest control, and risk assessment.
Conduct engaging and informative training sessions using various teaching methods, such as presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and interactive activities.
Stay updated with local, national, and international food hygiene and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure training programs align with requirements.
Assess the knowledge and skill levels of participants through evaluations, interviews, and observations to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
Conduct practical demonstrations to illustrate proper food handling techniques, use of protective equipment, and implementation of sanitation procedures.
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, including attendance, materials used, and participant evaluations. Prepare reports summarizing training activities and recommendations for improvement.
Continuously update training materials and methodologies based on industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in food hygiene and safety.
Provide consultation and support to food establishments in implementing food hygiene and safety practices, including audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay informed about the latest developments in food hygiene and safety regulations, standards, and training practices.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and follow-up evaluations. Make necessary adjustments to enhance the impact and outcomes of training sessions.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, public health, or a related field is preferred.
Advance Food Hygiene Level 4 Certificate
Other relevant certifications in food safety, such as HACCP certification, are highly desirable.
Prior experience in delivering food hygiene and safety training programs is required.
Experience working in the food industry, such as in food service, catering, or food manufacturing, is beneficial.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with HACCP principles, foodborne illnesses, and risk assessment methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively deliver training sessions, develop training materials, and interact with diverse audiences.
Ability to engage participants, utilize various teaching methods, and deliver complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants and establish productive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Commitment to staying updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging practices in food hygiene and safety through professional development activities.
