About the role:
Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Junior Wet Utilities Engineer for its Land Development team in Abu Dhabi, to support with the technical delivery of multiple master-planning/land development projects across the Emirate.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, below:
Prepare reports and design documentation for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water infrastructure projects
Prepare hydraulic modelling for water, wastewater, irrigation and storm water
Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment
Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to Mott MacDonald clients
Conduct a technical review for progress reporting
Liaising/meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress
Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including clients when needed
Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice on deviations from the same
Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
Assist the Manager/Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other Mott MacDonald teams
Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients
Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues
Outline cost and quantity estimation for wet services
Candidate Specification
Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution.
Design of pressurised and gravity systems using Bentley software, Civil3D, epanet, etc.
Hydraulic modelling of pressurised and gravity systems
Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, clients and stakeholders.
Experience of design and approval of infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi with previous experience on infrastructure projects.
In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi Authority Guidelines is a must.
Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DMT, ADDC, ADSWS, TRANSCO, ADWEA, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM)
Experienced in BIM
Well-versed with Abu Dhabi, Dubai and KSA standards and requirements.
Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc
