Our Multi National Project & Commercial Management Consultancy client has a new requirement for a Consultant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on Commercial, Retail, leisure & entertainment build, fit out and refurbishment projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have strong Quantity Surveying experience ideally with a recognised consultancy company background.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed with our client.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract

Project Budget services (direct, indirect, margins, markups and overheads).
Feasibility studies (cost per key, cost per m2 etc.);
Cost Planning and estimating (BCIS and NRM1);
Value Engineering, cash flow forecasts, Whole Life Costing, cost risk management;
Bills of Quantities production (NRM 2, POMI and CESSM3);
Tender services including compilation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations;
Contract drafting (FIDIC).
Post Contract

Management of bonds, insurances and guarantee logs;
Interim valuations and payment certificates;
Variations analysis, recommendations and management;
Risk and value management and cost control functions;
Costs analysis project work;
Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
Preparation of progress/ cost reports;
Reporting to Senior Commercial Manager on all commercial issues;
Understanding the implications of authorities regulations and health and safety regulations;
Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager
Consultant Quantity Surveyor Experience:

BSC in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution preferred
Experience in Commercial, Retail, Leisure & Entertainment build, fit out and refurbishment projects is a must;
Minimum of 7-12 years’ experience;
Minimum of 4 years’ UAE, experience
Must have consultant and/or client background for minimum of 2 years;
UAE Driving license is essential for this role
Knowledge in the use of QS software or similar is required;
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.

Pay: AED18,000.00 – AED26,000.00 per month
