Independent Food Company Job Description at a Glance:

  • Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under it’s umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere and Public.

    We are looking for an experienced Loss Prevention professional to join our Finance department in Dubai. Based in our HQ in Tecom, this role will lead all activities related to Loss Prevention and be responsible for the following:

    • Quarterly detailed visits to all units in UAE to audit all internal controls as per pre agreed audit check list
    • Check and verify the implementation of Fixed assets policy developed by the company
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to loss prevention and manage loss prevention programs
    • Check all inventories of equipment, supplies, and equipment for all units and be responsible for reviewing and approving of any disposal of assets, stocks or expired items
    • Develop crisis response plans along with Managing Directors and Finance Director
    • Monitor facility security plans and procedures including sites during remodel projects, mobilisations etc.
    • Schedules and plans audits; initiates project planning, assess risk and develops audit direction

    The ideal candidate will have had at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the F&B or Hospitality market in the UAE. A strong knowledge of Loss Prevention principles and procedures is required as is a willingness to spend time on the ground, working independently to ensure our systems are robust.
