    • Job Summary:

      The role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the development of business strategies to achieve organizational goals. Responsible for leading and coordinating activities related to the administration, underwriting, and claims processing of general insurance policies – property, marine, engineering, liabilities.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Supervise and lead a team of insurance professionals, including underwriters, claims adjusters, and administrative staff.
      • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
      • Assess and evaluate insurance risks to determine appropriate coverage and premiums.
      • Develop underwriting guidelines and policies in accordance with company objectives.
      • Ensure adherence to underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
      • Oversee the claims processing function, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of claims.
      • Investigate and resolve complex or disputed claims.
      • Implement measures to reduce fraudulent claims.
      • Manage the administration of insurance policies, including policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
      • Ensure accuracy of policy documentation and compliance with contractual obligations.
      • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for acquiring new business.
      • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products.
      • Analyze and assess the overall risk portfolio of the company.
      • Implement risk mitigation strategies and recommend adjustments to underwriting practices.
      • Stay abreast of changes in insurance laws and regulations.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Engineering or a related field.
      • Minimum 12 years experience in the insurance industry (UAE), with a focus on general insurance.

      • In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, claims processing, and insurance regulations.
