ENGIE Job Description at a Glance:

Through our game-changing solutions for complex energy, urban, nuclear and water projects, we help our clients create a positive impact towards a sustainable world, where people, planet and profit collectively thrive.The key roles and responsibilities are:Production and review of detailed design drawings, layouts and P&IDs for various substation mechanical equipment (Firefighting, HVAC, Crane, etc.).
    Previous experience with substation projects for UAE clients (Transco, ADDC, etc.) is advantage.
    Producing documentation, assessment/condition reports, survey reports, basis of designs, procurement specifications, etc., tailored to the specific stage of project completion, covering all aspects of mechanical engineering.
    Production and review of mechanical design calculations supporting stress and fluid flow analysis.
    Carry out detailed surveys of mechanical equipment and installations to establish the extent, condition, and operational status of existing installations to complete reports, findings, and recommendations.
    Production and review of equipment specifications and plant schedules.
    Supporting the preparation of bids and estimates.
    Review FAT test reports for mechanical substation equipment
    Review SAT test reports for mechanical substation equipment
    Ensure compliance with industry and construction (design and management) regulations.
    Comfortable in working within a multidiscipline environment and communicating with project stakeholders.
    Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
    Co-ordinating and co-operating with company’s design office for all disciplines to ensure works & contracts progress in technical and commercial terms
    Preparation of all required reports, follow up documentation and correspondence of the project
    Interface Co-ordination with all related disciplines
    Close liaison with the Client´s engineers & management
    Attending Meetings (Progress- & Technical Meetings if required)
    Ensuring implementation and maintaining of Safety Rules and HSE Measures or any other work entrusted to you.

    Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    Minimum 15 years of experience in T&D business – substations.

    Ability to interact regularly and comfortably across various departments to negotiate solutions that foster strong relationships and continued success.
    Able to think logically and solve problems from basic principles.
    A willingness to operate flexibly over a wide range of work areas, working times and sites, supports and delivers change where directed by the management.
    Language

    Strong and excellent communication skill in English. Arabic language is a plus.
