Duties
The position serves as a primary liaison between the Embassy and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in engaging a wide variety of topics including visa issuance, accreditation process, diplomatic privileges, and immunities, and more. Provides the full range of services including application support for US Direct Hire (USDH) and Locally Employed Staff (LES) employees and their dependents visa applications, renewals, and deregistration, US Direct Hire Eligible Family Member (USDH EFM) work permits, driver licenses, as well as inspection, insurance and registration for personally owned vehicles (POVs) and government-owned vehicles (GOVs). Provides interpreting and translation services for the General Services Office and Management as well as acts as backup for other management sections. Drafts diplomatic notes in English and Arabic for all communications with UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Provides visa expediting services for VIP officials at the airport to include visa assistance support and other UAE customs and immigration procedures. Serves as sub cashier and backup timekeeper for the General Services Office (GSO) section. In addition to the above routine services, significant time is spent handling multiple, complex, and often time unique, cases that require considerable time, research, analysis, and negotiations with host country counterparts in their resolution.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three (3) years of experience as an expediter providing customer service and dealing with Government of the United Arab Emirates officials or other administrative experience dealing with host country’s rules and regulations

Education Requirements:
Minimum two (2) years of college or university study is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: This may be tested.
Level III Good Working Knowledge in Reading/Writing/Speaking in English is required.
Level IV Fluent in Reading/Writing/Speaking in Arabic is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
UAE Driver’s License is required (Light Motor Vehicle).
