About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Floral Designer/Decorator to join our team in Ajman. As a full-time The florist is responsible for creating and designing floral arrangements for various occasions, assisting customers with their needs, and maintaining the freshness and stock of flowers and plants. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for floral design, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eve for detail.

Duties and Responsibilities: Floral Design

Design & Creation:

• Design floral arrangements, bouquets, wreaths, and other decorative items according to customer specifications or predefined styles.
• Custom-make floral designs based on customer preferences and budget.
• Customer Service:
• Assist customers in selecting flowers, containers, and other accessories.
• Provide expert advice on flower care, lifespan, and design tips.
• Handle customer complaints and returns gracefully and professionally.
• Sales & Promotion:
• Promote in-house products, special offers, and design services.
• Upsell and cross-sell complementary products when appropriate.
• Store Maintenance:
• Ensure displayed flowers remain fresh and rotate stock to reduce wastage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including workspaces and customer areas.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of flowers, plants, and supplies.
• Coordinate with suppliers for regular deliveries and special orders.

Technical and Artistic Skills:

• Floral Design: Ability to create aesthetically pleasing and innovative floral arrangements for various occasions.
• Knowledge of Plants and Flowers: Understanding the care, lifespan, and seasonality of different flowers and plants.
• Color Theory: Knowing how to combine colors harmoniously in floral designs.
• Use of Tools: Proficiency in using floral tools like shears, knives, and wire cutters.
• Conditioning of Flowers: Knowing how to prepare and treat flowers to maximize their lifespan.

• Customer Service: Ability to interact with customers, understand their needs, and provide satisfactory services.
• Salesmanship: Skills in selling products and upselling where appropriate.
• Communication: Effective in conveying ideas and understanding client requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges, such as flower shortages or last-minute changes.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring every floral arrangement meets quality standards and client specifications.
• Time Management: Juggling multiple orders, especially during peak times like holidays or wedding seasons.
• Patience: Important when dealing with intricate designs or demanding customers.

Inventory Management:

• Manage inventory of floral supplies, vases, decorative items, and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders for replenishment, and maintain organized storage.

Qualifications and requirements:

• 2-5 years’ proven experience as a Florist and Decorator preferably in an event or floral design setting.
• Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, and design technique
• Demonstrated experience in creating floral arrangements and decorations for events such as weddings, corporate events, and parties
• Strong knowledge of floristry tools, accessories, different styles of flower arranging, care and conditioning of flowers and foliage, wiring flowers and foliage along with their seasonal availability and how long they stay usable.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work with a team or independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand clients’ needs and preferences

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: AED5,000.00 – AED7,000.00 per month
