About the role:

Perform all assigned supply chain related activities for the company’s DC in Dubai as well as other projects as applicable, recommend and implement efficient alternatives and keep records up to date for compliance audits.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

Operations:

• Work with the 3PL to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the distribution center.
• Maintain product master data and lead discussions on new requirements to be implemented, ensure smooth introduction of new products into the supply chain.
• Recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations at the DC, reducing costs while maintaining BSC quality standards.
• Interact with local Vendors, place purchase orders, and coordinate order delivery and execution.
• Make necessary arrangements for returns of products into the DC and then into the SAP system.
• Monitor operational expenses and budget.
• Track and assess operational performance of the 3P/L provider.
• Ensure that the operations follow local and global regulations.
• Facilitate audits, inspections, and visits from both Internal and External Parties.
• Responsible for Inventory Reconciliation and excess / shortage documentation process.

 

Import/Export:

• Create documents required for import and export of goods in collaboration with 3 P/L provider. Documents such as Commercial invoice, packing list, load list etc.
• Assist with customer enquiries on Import/ Export procedures.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other transportation providers to ensure that shipments are delivered / Collected on time. Proactively Highlight customs and shipment issues.
• Maintain records of all import and export transactions, track shipments and prepare reports.
• Update shipment related information into SAP system.
• Ensure proper customs documentation is used for import and export shipments and track relevant BOE and Claim numbers through Dubai trade for compliance.
• Monitor product damages and Insurance Procedures.

 

Transportation:

• Assess Freight Forwarder / transporter Performance.
• Monitor special cargo requirements like temperature control, DG and Demo cargo while in transit to and from the DC.
• Maintain cargo movement logger and reports for management.
