MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Select origins of the coffee beans from the suppliers’ offer list or recommend other coffee origins (out of the offer list) based on customer reviews or demand
Forecast the demand of coffee beans required as per the data and the forecasting technique available in the operation process
Liaise with suppliers to ensure all company specifications and requirements are met, such as: roasting preferences, packaging and delivery process
Ensure the receiving packages are as per the specifications and quality requested and meeting the company quality and standard
To be updated on the market scenarios on coffee trends and to suggest expanding options
Enrich your coffee knowledge continuously by reading articles, books, training and attending exhibitions
Knowledgeable of all aspects of coffee beans that are served in Joud such as: coffee origin, Varity, roasting, special tasting notes, and properties
Requirements:

Excellent communication and teaching skills, Infectious love of coffee
Ability to keep a calm, mature, professional demeanor when needed
Proactive approach to problem-solving and staff management
A high degree of ethics and obsession with customer service
Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary
High level of organization
Adaptability and the ability to creatively troubleshoot difficult situations
Superior leadership capabilities: ability to work well within groups
At least 3 years of experience in specialty coffee and the coffee industry
Focused perspective on what a high-functioning coffee bar looks like and how to execute that perspective
A passion for small business and quality products
Be a model barista, both as far as bar skills, customer service, enthusiasm to share knowledge and professionalism
Detail-oriented
Basic knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Previous management/supervisory experience preferred
UAE EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
